Hello,
There are a number of important fixes for Bacula version 1.38.1 that you can
obtain by either applying the patch file attached to bug report # 492
(bugs.bacula.org), or by downloading the source code, which I have released
on Source Forge. The bugs fixed are the following:
- Fix crash in tray-monitor when daemon disconnects. Bug #479.
- Fix bnet-server bug found on OpenBSD. Bug #486 (bug originator
says this does not fix *his* bug).
- Fix cancel failure bug. Bug #481
- Fix failure when Pool name has spaces. Bug #487
- Fix SD crash in autochanger code. Mutex failure. Bug #488
- Fix a couple of free()s in src/filed/acl.c
- Fix memory overrun in bfile.c in building OS X resource
fork filename. Bug #489
- Add Pool name to SD status output.
- Add Python install dir for Solaris to configure. Bug #492
I have also released the doc files, which have a good number of updates and
the bacula-gui source, which is unchanged since version 1.38.1 (I'll probably
separate this into its own release section in the future). The rescue
release is unchanged as is the Win32 release. This means that there is no
need to update the Windows binaries. For good form, I am building it now and
will release it tomorrow. Obviously, the only change will be the version
number.
There are a few bug fixes to the File daemon if you are running on Solaris or
HP and backing up ACLs, or if you are running on Mac OS X (a fix for long
resource fork filenames). In those cases, I recommend you update your
clients as well. In all other cases, only the Director and the Storage
daemon need updating.
