Hello,
I have now verified and corrected the Win32 FD bug where the first file backed
up (in non-portable mode only) could not be restored. The bug was introduced
in some code reorganization in version 1.37.x.
We owe a lot of thanks to Thorsten Engel, who not only found and reported the
problem, but also supplied me with the correct solution :-)

The corrected winbacula-1.38.0.tar.gz is now loaded on Source Forge. The
version number is the same, but the version date is updated to 03 November
2005.
Any one wanting the current version 1.38.0 source code, with all the
corrections to date, can get it from the CVS, but you must use the branch
Branch-1_38_0 to access it. The CVS HEAD now has new development code.
