This is highly possible depending what you backup.
My full backups usually get 1.1-1.2:1 compression
Incremntals however - being mostly extremely repeitive logfiles - are
easily getting 4:1 or higher.
I was a bit shocked the first time I spotted one of the incremental tapes
had close to 900Gb on it, but investigation revealed that hardware
compression was working well.
