I have one mundane and one exotic feature request. The mundane one is that the documentation describe more fully the environment in which RunBefore (and related) commands run. I was mostly concerned about what user they were, but this is not the only issue. I finally found the users of the different parts are configurable at build time, and I infer that the commands run as the same user as the invoking daemon.
The exotic request is that one can munge the path of files backed up, or at least strip off leading parts. My motivation is that I will be backing up using snapshots, so if I want /a/b I will actually get /snapshot/a/b. It would be handy if this actually appeared as a backup of /a/b. I see that on restore one can specify an arbitrary path as the restore root. The option I am interested in is the inverse to that operation. Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
