Yes, that works, but it is already done that way as installed from the
EPEL RPM package.
rpm -q --changelog BackupPC shows:
* Sat Jul 31 2010 Johan Cwiklinski <johan AT x-tnd DOT be> 3.1.0-15
- perl-suidperl is no longer available (fix bug #611009)
which is probably when it was added to keep it working.
