I'm using a USB drive and with Ubuntu 13, it automatically mounts the drive to
/media/my-user-name/volume-label which in my case is
/media/adam/WDPassport2TB
I have just started using this setup and I don't know what's going to happen. I
assume when the drive isn't mounted, backuppc will complain but just try again
later.
Using the volume label of the USB drive as the mount point seems good because I
don't want backuppc to start creating backup data on any old random USB drive
that I connect.
It'd be good to hear how you get on.
