That can mean either that you can't resolve the name to an IP address or
that there is a firewall blocking the ping. Can you ping it from the
command line? You should get an error message saying 'unknown host' if
the name doesn't resolve and you can fix that by adding the name to DNS
or putting it in the server's /etc/host file. If it gets an IP address
but no response and the target host is on the same network, the target
host probably has a software firewall blocking inbound connections.
