I second that. Rsnapshot is pretty good software. I experimented with it for
a while and had some conversations with the developer before I found
BackupPC. 

Last I knew, it didn't do pooling of duplicate files between hosts; but it
does use real rsync instead of a perl module, so the problem of partial
backups losing files, doesn't come up.
