Craig,

Sourceforge uses mailman for its mailing lists. A user with multiple
email addresses can subscribe _all_ of them and will be able to post
from each of them. If a user doesn't want messages sent to all his/her
email addresses, the mailman web interface allows an address to _not_
be sent messages -- thus creating a "post-only" subscribe mode.

As you say the administration task isn't too bad. Once a day, each of
my lists sends me a "moderator request(s) waiting" message that lists
all the messages from non-subscribers. I then use mailman's web
interface to accept/reject/discard the messages. (For obvious spam, I
use "discard" so a reject message isn't sent.)

HTH,

David
