Hi Joe,

take a look at TomKit I already proposed to commit to AxKit but until now nothing has happened. Please search the archives
about a discussion on this.

A direct port of AxKit1 to mp2 is in my eyes not really easily and mp2/apache2 have many things AxKit can use e.g. FilterChains, ... .
But see my implementation and give me feedback.

Hi,

Matt...

I've played quite a bit with AxKit but haven't put it into production on
my site because I run Apache2 and I don't feel like trying to juggle two
servers (setting up reverse proxy is kinda arcane on Apache, anyway). I
have begun working on a CMS idea for which AxKit would be a good fit so
I'm motivated to help out if I can.

I have a couple decades of programming experience in various languages
including maybe 8 years or so in Perl. I haven't really looked into the
vageries of porting Apache1.3 modules to Apache2 but I know mod_perl is
already there so it can't be all that hard. If I could be of some help,
I'm certainly motivated to try to get this to work, even if just for my
own benefit. But I don't want to duplicate effort if you're already most
of the way there or if it would take longer to learn the code than for
someone else to just do it.

However, if you're interested in an extra pair of eyes and hands, feel
free to reply (offline if you'd prefer). Thanks...
