All events in the "java.awt.desktop" package use the instance of Desktop as a source of the event: http://cr.openjdk.java.net/~serb/8203224/webrev.00/src/java.desktop/share/classes/java/awt/desktop/AppEvent.java.sdiff.html
The problem is that "Desktop.getDesktop()" can throw an exceptions in some cases. These exceptions are not specified in the event classes. 


I'll create CSR after the technical review.
