Ok, so I can build srecord 1.47 if I set CXXFLAGS in my script before
configuration, like so:
CXXFLAGS=-I/c/avrdev/boost/boost_1_38_0 \
./configure \
--prefix=$installdir \
--infodir=$installdir/info \
--mandir=$installdir/man \
2>&1 | tee $package-configure.log
