Hello guys,

thank you for the details, the reproducer was really helpful. I followed the path and identified the problem is related to `config_filter` value caching. The fix can be found here: https://github.com/avocado-framework/avocado-vt/pull/568 If that passes all checks we'll include it in the today's release.

Kind regards,
Lukáš

Hi. It is very easy to reproduce.

I can confirm that current avocado/avocado-vt are exposed to the bug.

Step 1.

Remove avocado's "data" directory.

Step 2.

vocado vt-bootstrap --vt-type spice --vt-no-downloads --vt-update-config

Step 3.

Go to avocado-data/avocado-vt/backends/spice/cfg and check subtests.cfg.

It holds parts of run.cfg, join.cfg, build.cfg and other configs
that are not supposed to be a part of subtest.cfg

I am sure for 100% that this is a new behaviour and it wasn't before.

Am also able to reproduce the issue,
Raised issue for
same https://github.com/avocado-framework/avocado-vt/issues/565

As I told before, second run of :

avocado vt-bootstrap --vt-type spice --vt-no-downloads --vt-update-config

produces correct subtests.cfg

We have broken vt-bootstra.

Please fix.

This is really odd. I never had such problem. Do you remember what
state your system was in before? Things like, was it the first
time `vt-bootstrap` was executed? Did providers exists? Were they
also updated? Weren't you running it twice simultaneously?

Also do you have the broken config file available? The snippets
could lead us to the source confusion...

    Thank you,
    Lukáš

second running of next command produces correct subtests.cfg:

        # avocado vt-bootstrap --vt-type spice --vt-no-downloads
        --vt-update-config

I am pretty sure that this file was badly generated at the first
        vt-bootstrap.

            Hi.

            Today I got wrong subtests.cfg

            This file is auto-generated.

Now it holds snippets from another *.cfg files. Those are not
supposed to be a part of subtests.cfg.

            Any ideas?
