https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/automake-patches/2018-03/msg00004.html Add a new "-B" option to request saving of the original file when install-sh is overwriting an existing file.I just pushed this one too, but I changed the option from -B to -S, to match the option letter in cp, mv, etc. Thanks for all the changes.
Many thanks for having accepted these changes. I hope other projects will benefit of these features. I'll integrate this new upstream install-sh version (with -p and -S) into our build system.
