Possibly, albeit it has the nice side effect of activating the right
syntax highlighting with most editors.  But my Vim is configured to
recognize also Emacs-style "-*- shell -*-" lines, so I'm not opposed
to a change in that direction.  In any case, I say we put this on hold
until Automake 1.14 is out; OK?  Feel free to bring the question up
again once that release is done.
