MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for python-smart-open [2]: Newly submitted duplicate of AUR/python-smart_open [a], which is up- to-date, maintained and has existed on AUR since 2018.
The latter also has provides & conflicts entries for 'python-smart- open'. Please don't duplicate existing packages. Talk with the maintainer of that one if you want to contribute to its packaging.
