xiota [1] filed a deletion request for hal-git [2]: Package should be deleted because maintainer MIA, package is unbuildable, and name is confusing. Package can be recreated with a different name when build issues are fixed upstream.
Maintainer has not responded to comments since May 2023. At the time, he indicated lack of time/interest to work on package and willingness transfer maintainership to someone else. Package name is confusing. `aur/hal` is a hardware abstraction layer. `aur/hal-git` is a hardware analyzer. Package has been unbuildable since May 2024, requiring upstream and packaging changes. There is a pending upstream PR. After the PR is merged, I plan to recreate this package with a different name.
