MarsSeed [1] filed a request to merge pm-utils-debian [2] into pm-
utils [3]:

There's no benefit in keeping the 'debian' variant package:

- 'debian' one: orphan since years - 'pm-utils' has a maintaner.
- no significantly difference.
- 'pm-utils' is a superset (w/ additional scripts, likely from a
contrib fork for Arch/Manjaro).
- 'pm-utils-debian' needs the separate 'pm-quirks' addon pkg from
2010; 'pm-utils' already has those metadata files.

'pm-utils-debian' was created in 2012 and updated only once, in 2021,
with +1 minor Debian refinement patch.

'pm-utils' is newer: from 2017, and already hosts similar patches that
the debian one sources from the Debian servers.

Overall, 'pm-utils' is the superior package. It offers nothing less,
only more.
And no build on AUR requires the 'debian' variant (and never seem to
have).
