A successor package reflecting the upstream VCS change was added to the AUR [1].
Basically, merging gl2ps-svn into gl2ps-git would be adequate now, but nothing important would go missing by simply deleting gl2ps-svn. So now that this request was made, I'm fine with it being accepted. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gl2ps-git
