MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for gimp-brush-max-512 [2]: Abandoned, outdated variant/duplicate of repo's gimp package.
Last updated in 2022-05. The only change is a reduced maximum allowed brush size. But the brush size can be customized in GUI; one doesn't need a patched source code to not use larger than 512px brushes.
