MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for ebtables [2]:

The individual ebtables software has last been released as version
2.0.10-4, on December 15th, 2011, and relied on out-of-tree Linux 2.4
kernel patches to work. [a]

The legacy ebtables web page says that newer versions of ebtables are
incorporated into the netfilter project. It is part of the iptables
package.

Repo carries the iptables-nft package which comes from the netfilter
project, and carries the ebtables command-line interface. [b]

There is no reason that I see to keep this ebtables for custom-patched
Linux 2.4 from 2011 in the AUR repo in 2023.
