yochananmarqos [1] filed a deletion request for amule-daemon-provides [2]: "If the official package is broken or is lacking a feature, then please file a bug report."

Another approach may be requesting that amule be split into amule and amule-daemon, but again, nothing in the repo depends on it. The only AUR package that requires amule-daemon is kamule.
