We can compile this project by eliminate a flag with make CFLAGS="... -Wno-error=format-security", but I found a GitLab page where printer-team of Debian develop this printer driver. (https://salsa.debian.org/printing- team/min12xxw/-/tree/debian/0.0.9-11) As I see, it is based on this (original) c project and improved to the latest compilers. As I see it is under GPLv2 license and the source code downloadable without login. I had made a PKGBUILD and .SRCINFO file and a success install with them. End line after yay -> min12xxw: local (0.0.9-11) is newer than AUR (0.0.9-2) The only inexact to did not found checksum on the page so I calculate md5 locally, after the download.
