On 29 of April I've contacted the maintainers of some brother-packages.
They did not respond. (emails enclosed at the bottom).
Can you please disown the following packages:

[2] https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-hl5250dn-lpr
[3] https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-mfc490cw-cupswrapper
[4] https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-mfc490cw-lpr

[7] https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-mfc795cw-cupswrapper
[8] https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-mfc795cw-lpr
Given that most of them haven't been updated in ~3 years, I'm tempted to orphan
them, but none of them are flagged out-of-date.
Can you explain exactly what you plan to do? What do you mean by "join them"?

By joining I mean that I combine the cupswrapper and lpr packages into
one new package.
You can see examples of that if you look at the brother-packages owned
by "libernux"
