Hi,

aircrack-ptw [1] can safly be removed. The ptw method is included in
aircrack-ng. Aircrack-ptw is unmaintained for years now. In addition,
it's not available on the official homepage anymore.

Just clicked through all those madwifi packages. As ath5k superseded
madwifi (and is actually included in the kernel), couldn't most of the
orphaned and/or out-of-date madwifi-X packages be removed? It's just a
suggestion, though. In detail:

dkms-madwifi https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=11662

madwifi-aircrack-tp https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=17049
It's orphaned, depends on already removed packages (kernel26tp), thus
unusable.

madwifi-aircrack https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=33076 (same)

madwifi-hal https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=20857 (depends on
kernel26 ...)

madwifi-hal-svn https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=20963

madwifi-svn-hal https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=20221

madwifi-ice https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=23472 (depends on
removed packages, kernel26, ...)

Regards,
Max

don't want to be annyoing - but maybe this (see above) did not reach the
list? Please let me know about anything wrong with it, if so.

Max

Hello,

sometimes things get lost, even on a mailing list read by many people. Sorry
for that.

I removed most of the packages and only kept madwifi-hal, but only
because it has a number of votes > 10. Feel free to meet another decision.

Regards Stefan
