Sorry. The CVS branches versus build system branches thing is confusing and I
haven't been able to find a page where they are
mapped out. I was trying to build realplay_gtk_stable and I still got this
error. Now that I check the BIF file I see that has
these tags:
  <inherit id="hxclient_1_3_0_neptunex"/>
  <cvs tag="bingo-beta"/>

What branch is it using then? 1.3.0?

Is there somewhere I can find what the build tags match with? Specifically,
what are realplay_gtk_current, realplay_gtk_release,
and realplay_gtk_stable? And how do they match with current and planned
releases?

The player team can help here. Those are all Helix player targets. I am not sure what branch is their current stable branch. However, if you run 'build' and then look at your build.out file it will say the branch it is using at the top there under the configuration section.

Build System (V2.3)

outfile: build.out
branch: hxclient_1_5_0_cayenne_internal
platform: symbian-70s-emulator-vc7

So what branch are you asking this be merged to? It appears
to have already been merged to 150Cay.

Synopsis / Overview: This is actually a resubmission. When I
originally submitted this patch is was committed to HEAD and I thought
it was going to be committed to stable but that never happened. It's a
couple of build fixes for HP audio affecting HP specific files and a
#ifdef HPUX section in math64.h.
