INIT_PENDING is a pseudo state that we define. The docs are not very clear
on this. There is nothing that indicates PlayInit has completed, other than
BufferToBeFilled (success) or PlayError (failure). However, the docs don't
say we can (or can't) call Pause until we get BufferToBeFilled. This is
another reason that I kept INIT_PENDING, in case it turns out we can't
pause until after the first call to BufferToBeFilled. I suggest for now we
allow the pause in INIT_PENDING, and then change as you describe if we
observe problems.

Good catch. I accidentally deleted the line.

If a pause results in a reset of the sample count that is a big problem. I
have not observed this. I'm pretty sure, at least in the emulator, that I
looked at the sample count before and after pausing. Also, if the sample
count is resetting I would expect the timeline to stop or otherwise behave
badly when pausing and resuming on the phone. I haven't observed that. If
the sample count resets only in some cases where you call pause (e.g.
phone-specific) then that is a very big problem.

>>Rajesh>> When I run the application on my 6630, I get a reset of
>>SamplesPlayed after a
resume(ie Play after Pause). And this reset I get it every time.
Without doing the reset
stuff I mentioned, I could not play clips. The assert of
BaseSampleCount <= SampleCnt will hit
and timeline on GUI moves to the end. Only after the changes now I
could play clips.

Thanks,

Liam
