Hi, I just ran into what looks like a bug. If I have $\mu\mu$ in my document and then fold it (with TeX-fold-buffer or whatever), only a single mu is displayed, not two, as I'd expect.
This happens with emacs -Q and just AUCTeX loaded. Emacs is GNU Emacs 23.1.1, AUCTeX is 11.85.
