I think that still needs to be accompanied with verbiage about global vs local reply count though. Not happy; there has to be a way to associate links directly with `thr:replies` elements and the only other way than by comparing `href`s that I can think of is to put a namespaced attribute on the link, which sucks for reasons we’ve already been over.
