Subject: [leadership] A note about accessible kindle software to
people likeme who make assumptions about stuff
Date sent: Wed, 19 Jan 2011 09:14:03 -0600
Hi,
I just "assumed" one could go to the kindle store and download
the new
accessible app. Put another way, I figured accessibility was
built into the
main app, or that there would be a way to find info on
accessibility from
the main kindle app page.
You can't.
It must be downloaded from the site mentioned earlier
http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=kin_pcacc_surl
<http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=kin_pcacc_surl&docId=1

&docId=1000632481
I couldn't find a way to get to the accessible software through
the main
store. The link above appears to be the only way to go.
Just fyi to save you the challenge I had when I spent an hour
discovering
all this.
\It's a great app, and a wonderful large first step toward
accessibility to
kindle books.
Thanks
Michael
