It is likely that the 'weak password module' wasn't installed when you created your two extensions, OR you hadn't completed the upgrade to 2.6. Either way, the easy way to turn off this module is to disable it in the module admin section of the admin gui.
Best of luck with Asterisk and FreePBX!

Subject: [asterisknow] Creating extensions
Hi,
I am new to AsterisksNow. I was able to Install Asterisks and install all the modules getting me up to the latest version 2.6.
I then was able to create some extensions
Extensions Secret
1000 1000
2000 2000
It has now been a few days and I want to make a third extention
Extension Secret
3000 3000
But now I get a message
The secret must be at minimum six characters in length.
Is there a way I can change that? Plus when I select the Module Weak Password
Detection it shows my other two extensions and Secret with 4 characters. But
for some reason it won't let me create a new one with a secret less than 6
characters.
This is a test network so I am not worried about security.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Scott
