Subject: [asterisknow] Network card problem

Hi,

I'm very new to asterisknow and am trying to get it up and running on
my old PC. I downloaded 0.6beta from the internet and the machine I am
trying to install it on is an intel celeron 500 Mhz machine.

I put the asterisknow cd in and tried the graphical installation. It
did not complete as my monitor would start showing some kind of
static. I tried changing the monitor too but it didnt help. Then I
went through the text install which went fine. I overwrote all
existing partitions.

But the linux doesn't seem to detect my network card as it doesnt show
an IP address on which I can access the web interface and doesn't ask
me any questions about network during setup. I have a driver cd with
the network card but can't figure out how to install it. Any help
would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks!

Bhavish
