[Asterisk-Users] login/logout of call queue

We are using Grandstream GXP-2000 phones with Asterisk and was wondering if anyone had a procedure or way of logging out the phone from the network or taking the ext out of a queue?  The reason we want to do this is if someone was on a break or away they could remove themselves from their queue.

I was thinking of some type of * keypad sequence (like *99 etc) that could be used and then programmed into the speed dial buttons.

Any help would be appreciated.
