Not so, my 3Com is powering Mitel phones no problem. That being said, it's important to look at the spec as advertised on the tech brief whether it's 'af' compliant or not. I think Cisco phones, for example, are oddballs. Also, power draw is a concern. My 3com will shut down the port whenever there is > 14w draw per port.
