I have a few SPA-3000 and they work perfectly. I only noticed one
issue in France where the SPA-3000 wouldn't notice that the user
hanged-up and it would wait for about 5 minutes for the FXO line to be
available again..

That would be a major issue if it happened often. My primary use would
be to get incoming calls handled by the * pbx. If the ata keeps the line
offhook or ignores ring in those 5 minutes we have a big problem.
