Hi,

For various reasons a customer of mine is moving from a SER-based to an Asterisk-based installation, mostly because of problems with SIP devices behind NAT trying to reach each other and because it's easier to do accounting when all calls go through Asterisk (canreinvite=no is the idea).

The database-based SIP registration mechanism of Asterisk seems to have one shortcoming - it only allows one registration per SIP account, whereas SER has a separate 'subscriber' and 'location' table, allowing more than one registration; all SIP devices under the same account then ring simulataneously until the first one is picked up.

Is there by any chance some patch floating around that allows Asterisk to do the same? Or is it possible somehow to run this through SER+Asterisk (i.e. multiple registrations but the calls, both signaling and voice streams, must go through Asterisk)?

TIA,

Cees
