They are offering the open hardware T or E 400P cards. The plans for those cards where made available for anyone to make the cards if they desired. So while this isn't technically ripping off Digium, you aren't supporting them. Also as they are the older board design, they use more CPU power to do the same work as the newer cards. On Digium's website they have a page that shows performance differences between the cards.
