Are the CPU spikes causing you trouble or did you just notice them when poking around? I see CPU spikes but don't have any issues at all (noise or otherwise).

Not just trouble but a disaster. I'm trying to build a spandsp (fax) application for a customer, and, whenever a process holds an interrupt too long, the fax transmission aborts and garbage is printed by a fax machine.
