FYI

It takes only no time (1-2 minutes) to compile a fresh zaptel on Debian. That is
- if you have the source tree in /usr/src/linux and everything ready for
compiling in general.

Just get the source and do:

make clean
make
make install

Then modprobe for zaptel should work fine.

Sorry I can't help you with apt-get, but compile really works fine and is
relatively easy...
