You are correct that it is timing related. The facility message with the name for callerid comes in after the call is started. The solution is to issue a wait on the line of 1 second before issueing the answer.
OK. But, we're not answering is the problem.
The * box that the call is coming into just routes the call right out IAX2 to a different asterisk box. Maybe I'm not understanding this. Can you give me a bit more detail?
