Both the "Use # as dial key" or "Send Flash Event" options were set to "No". Anyway, quite by accident, I discovered that the # key could be used by the callee, if you follow the follow sequence:
1. Flash - the caller is put on hold 2. Flash again - the caller is back again 3. Now press #, you will hear "Transfer". >From then onwards, the # key would work without the need to flash again!
