FWIW, the snom 200 also had a problem when two or more lines were registering with *. Since the MWI is shared between all lines, a message left on line 1 would turn it on, followed by a notify on line 2 that no messages existed and turned if off. On/off/on/off and most of the time you wouldn't even notice the change. Not a very cool multi-line phone.
