My my SIP<mac-address>.cnf file from 2007 contains:
image_version: P0S3-8-12-00
line1_password: 346cc89a2526255839534c22ad7790c
and my notes say my 9760 only allowed up to 31 character passwords.
You may find it useful to use tcpdump with '-w' to write the packets to a
file and then analyze with sngrep.
