FreePBX is big and has a lot of dependencies whereas Asterisk GUI is tiny and only requires Asterisk itself to operate. For most installations, this is not a problem. But, there is still a huge gap in the Asterisk GUI world for something is lightweight and suitable for small installations. FreePBX is great, but quite overkill in many instances. --Tim
