While it is inconsistent with my personal coding style, is there any rational reason that background( arg ) should not work? I don't think I have ever used any system that considered unquoted leading or trailing whitespace to be significant in the context of a file name. The only reason I can think of for having a file name with leading whitespace is if you want to have the file name appear at the top of an "ls." I can't think of a reason why you would want trailing whitespace. -- Thanks in advance, ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Steve Edwards [email protected] Voice: +1-760-468-3867 PST Newline Fax: +1-760-731-3000 _______________________________________________ -- Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com -- asterisk-users mailing list To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
