Seems that this got it working as suggested in the thread - thank you all for replies.

It seems to be that you can set up a buddy watch for one endpoint using this option - dont know exactly what this option is supposed to be. I was reading the Polycom SIP 2.2.2 admin guide, which suggested that the above was only for Microsoft Live Communications Server, so I ignored it...and used the attendant.uri option.
