Hello there all. i have an agi-bin python script that calls out when a file is dropped into the /var/spool/outgoing the script seems to work, and the call is placed, but the script runs without knowing when the phone is picked up. i mean, the call is made, and the script begins to run. So by the time it is answered, most of it has already played out.
is there a way that asterisk can initiate a phone call and wait to run the script untill after the phone is answered? also, is there a way to know when the line is disconnected ? I would like to write a function that would kill my script if the phone is disconnected. This is for an IVR application where we phone out to our customers if the status of one of their machines changes thanks for any tips, shawn
