I have the same problem and it was solved setting:
# Uncomment for aggressive residual echo supression under # MARK2 echo canceller # KFLAGS+=-DAGGRESSIVE_SUPPRESSOR
This creates a very nasty "click" when I talk into the SNOM (but no long echo!). It's like having a conversation with a compulsive "interjector" who never finishes his sentences :) Do you have this problem? If so, do you recall how you solved it?
