First let me say that I'm a beginner with both Linux and Asterisk and
would appreciate a little help in getting started.
My first question is regarding using the Asterisk At Home and the Digium
TDM400P PCI card.
I have installed the TDM400P PCI card in my pc with the power supply
connected, and Asterisk At Home installed. Using lspci I can tell that
the card has been installed correctly.
I have plugged a normal (hard ?) phone in to the Digium Card but I don't
hear any dial tone, is this normal? I am based in the UK and I must
admit I'm not 100% convinced that the phone cable I have used to connect
the phone to the TDM400P card is the right one - I have tried a few
other without success.
