I just tried that, but it doesn't help. There is still one ring tone produced before asterisk executes Answer(). And there is no caller ID being forwarded to the destination channel, which actually I need. That is why I have usecallerid set to yes.
I added a wait(2) as the first item in my incoming dial plan and that seemed to increase my chances of picking up the CID on a TDM400 ZAP channel by a significant amount.
